History

The Copper Country Soccer Association has been bringing soccer to the Copper Country for 28 years.
The CCSA is a non-profit, member-driven organization.   The passion and sense of community among our member families and volunteers is at the the heart of our organization and what keeps the CCSA thriving!

Our History

The Copper Country Soccer Association (CCSA) is a non-profit 501c3 formed in 1992. It is a recreational and competitive soccer league for youth ages 4 to 18 years in Houghton, Baraga, and Keweenaw counties. The CCSA is run by volunteers, from the board of directors and coaches, to the families that support it.

Today, CCSA has grown to nearly 1,000 players. In the recreational league there are about 300 players ages 12-19, over 500 players ages 4-11, and over 100 players in travel team division. Approximately 63% are boys and 37% are girls. Over 70 teams play 1-2 times per week on 5 community fields spread throughout Houghton, Hancock, and Calumet, from May until October.
